Does the Port Journal cost anything?No. It is free, it always will be, and there is nothing to sign up for. Choose your paper size, how many ports you are calling at and a paper style, then print it or save it as a PDF. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent to us.
How do I print it?Set the size and the number of ports at the top of the page, then press the Print button. In the print dialogue that opens, choose your printer — or "Save as PDF" if you would rather carry it on your phone. Turn on background graphics in your printer settings if you want the paper texture to come through; leave it off to save ink.
How many port pages should I choose?One for each port on your itinerary. A typical seven-night Caribbean sailing calls at three or four; a Mediterranean cruise can call at seven. If you are not sure, pick one more than you think you need — a blank page costs nothing and a missing one is a nuisance at sea.
What do I do with it when I get home?Keep it — that is the point of a keepsake. But if you enjoyed writing it, those notes are most of a travel story already. Send them to us and we will help you turn them into a published piece on Destinations Guild with your own byline. That is what becoming a Guild Reporter means.
