“Travel” in the International Maritime Signal Code

Our Story

Destinations Guild began with a simple belief — that planning a trip should feel like opening a great book: full of possibility, easy to follow, and honest about what you’ll find. Our founder has spent more than two decades in travel reservations, going back to the earliest days of booking hotels online, and built the Guild to carry that hard-won craft into a new era.

Today the Guild is a curated gateway to the whole world — hotels, flights, cruises, and experiences across every continent — with real guidance instead of noise. We’re an independent travel company and a proud partner of Trip.com: you book on trusted, secure platforms, and we earn a small commission that keeps the Guild free to use. Our promise is simple — make the world easy to explore, for everyone.

Those flags above spell TRAVEL — and, in turn, VIAJE and VOYAGE — in the international maritime signal code, a tip of the hat to the navigators and explorers who charted the world long before us.

About Our Explorers

Every guide in our Library is the work of the Guild Explorers — our dedicated research team. They range across the globe, gather the current facts, prices, and seasons for each country, and write it all up so you don’t have to dig. Every book is signed “Curated by Our Guild Explorers” and kept up to date.

And keep an eye out for Polly — our resident parrot and travel concierge. She’s online any time you’d like to ask a question, plan a trip, or find a place to stay — always free.
