Streams, Rivers & Lakes. Put your fly fishing business forward — it is free, nothing is bought or sold, and you do not need a website.
Nothing. And it never will. Here is the whole arrangement, in plain words, before you fill anything in.
Fill this in and we will read your site, write your entry in your own words, and put you on the Guild Outfitters list.
That is not a problem, and you are not second class here. Some of the best guides working run the whole business off a phone and a boat trailer, and a directory that only lists people with web designers is not describing the sport honestly.
What we cannot do is list a business we have no way of checking. So instead of reading your website, we verify you through the licence you already hold — the state or the National Forest that issued it can confirm you are real and current. Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arkansas and Arizona all license or permit outfitters and guides, and that is enough for us.
Some directories will only list you if you link back to them. We do not work that way, and we want to be straight about why, because you have probably been asked before.
The first reason is practical. Google’s own spam policies name reciprocal link trading as something they act on. This whole Library exists to be found in search, so a scheme that puts that at risk would cost you and us both — and you would be the one carrying it on your own site.
The second reason is simpler. A listing you had to buy with a link is not an honest listing, and an honest list is the only thing we are actually selling here.
So your entry is free and unconditional. We link to you because we read your site and think anglers should see it. If you would like to link back to us, we will be glad of it and we will say thank you — but nothing on this page depends on it, and nothing changes if you never do. Both links are freely given, or they are not worth having.
